EL 1 Policy Officer

We are seeking an EL 1 Policy / Project Officer who has prior experience in the public sector at the EL1 level, for a 6 to 12 month contract. You will work as part of a team responsible for developing and implementing initiatives targeting mental health strategies.

This position will entail you to provide assistance with the development and implementation of policy, prepare policy advice and departmental/parliamentary briefs along with other correspondence. You will also undertake complex research and analysis and establish and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders.

Experience in policy development or project management, along with strong communication and organisational skills, including an ability to prioritise and work well under pressure will help you succeed in this role.

We are looking for someone who has a background in dealing with health related policy and an understanding of mental health issues and/or rehabilitation.
